Beyond Teaching English in
Academic Roles
Assistant
Professor Dr. Sasiporn
Pongpleinpit,
Deputy Dean for
Academic Affairs, Graduate School, Suan
Sunandha Rajabhat University,
was
invited to serve as a mentor in the U.S.
TechCamp: Cyber Security for Future
Educators project, organized by the U.S.
Embassy in Thailand. This project aims
to develop the capabilities of education
students in cybersecurity, digital
citizenship, and designing innovative
learning solutions for future
classrooms.
Suan Sunandha
Rajabhat University was selected as one
of six leading institutions in the
country, along with Chulalongkorn
University, Kasetsart University,
Thammasat University, Srinakharinwirot
University, and Suan Dusit
University.
This participation
reflects the academic collaboration
between SSRU and international
organizations and educational networks,
particularly cooperation with the U.S.
Embassy, RELO, and other international
bodies. This provides Thai students with
the opportunity to learn from experts
from Meta AI, Intel, CIB, and Baker
& McKenzie.
Although her
expertise is in TESOL (Teaching English
to Speakers of Other Languages),
Assistant Professor Dr. Sasiporn has
demonstrated the potential to integrate
knowledge in language, communication,
critical thinking, and global studies
with contemporary issues in technology,
digital security, and the development of
future skills for learners.
The
Graduate School of Suan Sunandha
Rajabhat University believes that
