Executives and staff of the Graduate
School participated in a Buddhist prayer
ceremony and an alms-offering ritual to
commemorate the immense royal grace of
His Majesty King Bhumibol Adulyadej The
Great, on the occasion of
"Navaminthra Maharaj Day"
(King Bhumibol Adulyadej The Great
Memorial Day) for the 2026 academic
year.
On October 8, 2026,
Assistant Professor Dr. Wanchak Noichan,
Dean of the Graduate School, accompanied
by Assistant Professor Dr. Thongchai
Surinwarangkoon (Associate Dean for
Administration), Assistant Professor Dr.
Panu Pattanapanithipong (Associate Dean
for Planning and Quality Assurance), and
staff from the Graduate School, joined
in a Buddhist prayer ceremony and
offered alms to 10 Buddhist
monks.
The ceremony took place in
front of the Office of the President
building (Building 31) to dedicate merit
and honor the boundless royal grace of
His Majesty King Bhumibol Adulyadej The
Great (Phra Bat Somdet Phra
Boromchanakathibet Maha Bhumibol
Adulyadej Maharat Borommanatbophit) on
the occasion of Navaminthra Maharaj
Day.
The ceremony was presided
over by Associate Professor Dr.
Chutikarn Sriviboon, President of the
University, who led the
university’s executives, faculty
members, staff, and representatives from
various internal departments in the
observance.
During the ceremony,
the President lit incense and candles to
pay homage to the Triple Gem, and
subsequently lit incense and candles
before the royal portrait of His Majesty
King Bhumibol Adulyadej The Great.
Following this, Buddhist monks chanted
sacred verses to bestow blessings and
dedicate merit—an act performed in
honor of the monarch—before the
ceremony participants joined in offering
alms to the monks, amidst an atmosphere
filled with serenity, grace, and
profound loyalty.
