Wednesday, October 18, 2025, 1:00 PM - 4:00 PM
Best Western Hotel, Chatuchak

This activity was held under a research project funded by the National Research Council of Thailand (NRCT). The objective was to develop an online learning system that could meet the vocational needs of the elderly, as well as foster skills necessary for income generation and community participation.

This focus group discussion aimed to identify guidelines for designing effective, sustainable, and practical learning mechanisms, both academically and socially. This approach aligns with several Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), covering education, social equality, empowering the elderly, and building strong communities, as follows:

SDG 4: Quality Education: This project aims to develop online learning materials to enhance digital citizenship skills among the elderly. Promote access to lifelong learning, enabling older adults to use digital technologies safely and effectively.

SDG 10: Reduced Inequalities: Designing learning systems to meet the vocational needs of older adults helps narrow the digital divide.

SDG 8: Decent Work and Economic Growth: Developing skills that lead to income generation increases the potential of older workers, supporting the concept of "Active Aging," enabling older adults to create economic value at the community level.

SDG 17: Partnerships for the Goals: Collaboration between universities, researchers, and the National Research Council of Thailand demonstrates a synergy to develop knowledge and social innovation, aligning with academic cooperation and public policy development objectives.
