Project “Speaking Clearly: Enhancing Comprehensibility in English”

On May 16, 2025, the Graduate School organized an English workshop under the topic “Speaking Clearly: Enhancing Comprehensibility in English” to promote effective English communication skills for lecturers, graduate students, and educational personnel.

This activity was supported by Mr. Eran M. Williams, Director of the Regional English Language Office (RELO), the US Embassy in Thailand, who honored us by attending the opening ceremony and closely supporting the project. We were also honored by Miss Linnea Jaeger and a team of English language skill development experts from RELO who conducted the training and provided advice throughout the activity.

The training focused on developing the ability to “speak clearly and easily”, covering pronunciation techniques, rhythm, intonation, and appropriate vocabulary selection in academic contexts, so that participants could communicate in English confidently, both in presenting their work, giving lectures, and communicating internationally.

The training atmosphere was filled with enthusiasm. Participants practiced real-world activities and pronunciation following examples. And receiving personal feedback closely is an experience that clearly promotes both language skills and confidence in using English.

Developing English language skills is a key factor in promoting the quality of education, especially at the graduate and research levels, which require clear and universal communication. This project plays a role in supporting lifelong learning and preparing personnel for the global academic arena.

This project is an example of an international collaboration between educational institutions and diplomatic organizations, which jointly develops the potential of educational personnel to create shared learning and expand the results to sustainable development at the system level.
