Research Project:
Development of Online Learning Materials
to Promote Digital Citizenship Skills
Among the Elderly
On February
19th, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Anchana
Suksomjit, Deputy Dean for Research and
Development, conducted a digital
literacy training program for the
elderly in Lan Skaa District, Nakhon Si
Thammarat Province, under a project
funded by the National Research Council
of Thailand (NRCT).
The
project aims to promote digital
citizenship skills among the elderly
through online learning materials
designed to be appropriate for their
context and learning abilities. It
focuses on responsible and informed
digital use, enabling individuals to
protect themselves from cyber
threats.
This project aligns
with sustainable development principles,
including promoting the health and
quality of life of the elderly,
supporting lifelong learning, and
reducing the digital literacy and skills
gap between generations. Furthermore, it
helps the elderly become more informed,
reduce the risk of cybercrime, and
participate in creating a safe and
livable digital
society.
