On February 17th, Asst. Prof. Dr. Anchana Suksomjit, Deputy Dean for Research and Development, visited Lan Sanka District, Nakhon Si Thammarat Province, to impart digital knowledge to senior citizens. This project, funded by the National Research Council of Thailand (NRCT), aims to promote digital citizenship skills among the elderly through online learning resources tailored to their learning context. The focus is on responsible and informed digital use, enabling seniors to effectively protect themselves from cyber threats.


This project aligns with the Sustainable Development Goals, particularly promoting the health and well-being of senior citizens, supporting lifelong learning through accessible and high-quality resources, and reducing the digital literacy and skills gap between generations. Furthermore, enhancing digital citizenship skills empowers senior citizens to use online media responsibly, be aware of misinformation and falsehoods, reduce their vulnerability to cybercrime, and contribute to building a safe, transparent, and peaceful digital society.
